Softly & Tenderly bySara Evans with Rachel Hauck

I was disappointed with this book. Jade a successful business owner wanted a happy marriage and wanted to have a family. Her in-laws who seemed to have a good marriage were also having problems, The part I did not like is when Jade and her mother-in-law June found her father-in-law cheating.  Jade's husband, Max, has a younger son than their marriage. Jade's mother, Beryl, has lived a wild life and has not been around to raise her children. Jade goes back to her home town because Beryl is dying of leukemia and Jade is taking care of her. Jade then starts to see her old boyfriend.  The story form of the book would have been good because Jade wanted a happy marriage and she tried to be a good wife, daughter, daughter-in-law and all around person.  Jade learns to forgive and to trust but there are to many questionable thing in this book. I would not recommend this book. DISCLOSURE OF MATERIAL CONNECTION: I received this book free from Thomas Nelson Publishing. I was not required to write a positive review.
